From the Ubud area we head north to the famous Pura Ulun Danu temple on Lake Bratan.
We will first stop at a primary school and then a traditional market. Along the way we will see beautiful mountain scenery, small villages, and a stop to take photos with bats and iguanas. Close to Lake Bratan, we will visit a spice and fruit market. The highlight of the tour is the Pura Ulun Danu Temple, which has a spectacular location on Lake Bratan, and is even shown on the Indonesian 50.000 Rupiah bank note.
After our visit to the temple, we head south-west to the world famous Tabanan rice terraces located at Jatiluwih, where you can observe the ancient irrigation process that is still in use today. Our final scheduled stop will be the Taman Ayun Mangwi Temple. This is the family temple of the Royal King of Mangwi, and is surrounded by moats and has lovely gardens.
A traditional local cultural event is also included as well as a visit to a Balinese house.

From Ubud we head east with our first stop at the Goa Gajah (Elephant cave) temple, which has antique stone carvings and is a good introduction to Balinese temples. From Goa Gaja we then stop at a local primary school say hello to the students. The next stop is the ancient temple of Pura Penataran Sasih. This temple is famous for having the largest bronze drum in Indonesia. A short drive takes us to a traditional market to observe the Balinese shopping for their daily needs.
We continue north to Kintamani Mountain for beautiful views of the volcano and Lake Batur. On the way, we will stop for a walk through coffee and fruit plantation. After Kintamani we visit Ulun Danu Batur Temple and its neighbor Pura Pucak Tuluk Biyu, which are two of most important temples in Bali.
The next stop is the famous Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple located in Tampaksiring. At this temple you can observe the Balinese bathing in series of holy water fountains. Our final stop is the stunning Gunung Kawi Temple. This temple has large old carvings in its cliffs, and a location in beautiful rice terraces, where you can take a short trek to see a small waterfall.
Our drive back to Ubud will take you though small traditional villages and beautiful rice field vistas. The tour also includes a visit to a local cultural event and a Balinese household.

East Bali Tour
Departing Ubud, our first stop is the BlahBatuh traditional market and a primary school visit. From BlahBatu we continue east to the Goa Lawah bat cave temple. This temple has many cremation rite ceremonies, which you might be able to observe. A stop at a salt factory on Kusamba beach is next, where you can see how salt is harvested from the sea.
We then visit the historical Bali Aga village of Tenganan, which is the home to the original Balinese people. We will pass through the tourist resort of Candi Dasa. A bit east of Candi Dasa we head inland for a beautiful back-country drive. Along the way you will see Salak fruit plantations, small villages, mountain views and rice field vistas.
We then arrive in the small city of Klung Kung, stopping at the famous Kerta Gosa Palace, which is know for its ceiling paintings. From Klung Kung we then head back to Ubud to end the tour.
A visit to a Balinese house and a stop to observe a local cultural event is also included.

Tanah Lot and Rice Terrace Tour
For this tour we offer two options. You may depart around 10 a.m. to arrive at Tanah Lot Temple for the sunset. The other option is to leave around 8 a.m., allowing you to arrive back to your hotel in time for dinner.
From Ubud our first stop will be a visit to the primary school in Semana Village. After greeting the students, we will then stop at the Taman Ayun Mangwi Temple, one of the six empire temples of Bali. From the temple, we then head north to a traditional market located in the village of Penebel. Next is a leisurely drive through small villages, bamboo jungles and the spectacular terraced rice fields of Jatiluwih. These rice fields are beautiful enough to have been placed as a potential UNESCO world heritage site. On the drive to Tanah Lot, we also pay a visit to the monkeys at the Alas Kedaton Temple. We finish at the Tanah Lot Temple, which is one of Bali’s most famous temples.
As part of the tour we will also stop for a traditional cultural event, and a visit to a local Balinese house, where you may receive a Hindu blessing.

South Bali and Ulu Watu Tour
This tour will take you to see two of the most famous temples on the sea, as well as a visit to modern Bali at Kuta Beach. For this tour, you may depart around 10 a.m. to see the sunset at Ulu Watu. You may also leave around 8 a.m., for a late afternoon arrival back to your hotel.
From Ubud, we will first visit a local school in the small village of Semana. After the school is a stop at a traditional morning market. We then visit the town of Mengwi to see the Temple of Taman Ayun. This temple is now on the list of potential UNESCO world heritage sites.
From Taman Ayun, we head south towards the Tanah Lot Temple, famous for its holy snakes and its location on a small rock island.. The tour will then continue along the coast, driving through rice fields to the famous Kuta Beach resort area. If you would like to stop for some shopping, and lunch in Kuta, that is no problem.
The final stop will be the Ulu Watu Temple, with a stunning location on top of the cliffs of Bukit Badung. There you can feed the monkys, and take a nice walk along the edge of the cliffs. If you chose the sunset tour, for an additional fee to the village, you can also attend a Kecak dance. On the tour, we will also stop for a local cultural event and a visit to a Balinese house.
